When we moved to France over ten years ago, we arrived at our new home on a beautiful September afternoon with our little Border Terrier, Lola. The first evening we decided to sit in the garden and have a picnic as we only had a few pieces of furniture.
It was a wonderfully relaxing evening. The next day, however, we woke up covered from head to toe with insect bites and stings. After a number of visits to the chemist’s, buying a variety of products and spending a lot of money, we were unable to find anything that was both effective and pleasant to use.
I knew that some essential oils were very effective at keeping the bugs away. So I set about combining a good quality moisturiser with different blends of essential oils to create the most effective natural insect repellent. It also had to have a pleasant smell and excellent moisturising properties.
So here it is. Belle Fleur – a luxury moisturiser enriched with Coconut, Argan and Jojoba. Combined with other essential oils, it helps to nourish the skin and repel insects, flies and mosquitoes.

Belle Chienne Natural Dog Shampoo
A gentle shampoo with oatmeal extract, suitable for all dogs. Enhanced with lavender, rosemary and cedar essential oils which are not considered harmful to pets. Also includes Neem Oil to repel and kill ticks, fleas and mites. The Neem oil is supplied separately to mix with the shampoo immediately prior to use.
A 400ml bottle will provide approximately 35 treatments for a medium size dog. Use the Neem oil spray between shampooing, on a wet or dry coat, to kill off any ticks or fleas.
